About the artist
David DaCosta (he/him) is a Portland-based Art Director, illustrator, author, DJ, and dad whose work is rooted in joy, humor, and community. Inspired by childhood cartoons, family life, and the creative energy around him, David creates bold, playful illustrations that aim to make people smile the moment they see them.
Working primarily in vector graphics, David’s style is graphic, expressive, and instantly recognizable, combining clean lines, character-driven storytelling, and a sense of mischievous fun. His work often feels like a modern cartoon world: full of personality, movement, and humor.

Scarf
The scarf expands on the poster’s idea by turning the phrase “We The Bangers” into a bold, chant-like banner across the entire piece.
The central lettering stretches across the scarf in David’s signature rounded, sausage-like typography, while the background is filled with a rhythmic field of wavy lines that create movement and energy, almost like the vibration of a crowd chanting together in the stands.
On the reverse side, the scarf becomes a chaotic celebration of fan culture. The same sausage characters tumble across the design in an energetic pile of limbs, signs, and symbols, soccer balls, foam fingers, and playful gestures all colliding in a joyful mess of fandom.

Poster
David’s poster brings the phrase “We The Bangers” to life by turning the fanbase itself into the main characters.
The illustration features a lively crowd of sausage-shaped supporters packed together like a cheering section, each with their own personality and style. Some hold signs, some flash peace signs, some clutch soccer balls, and others simply bask in the joy of being part of the moment. Their expressions range from goofy to chill to proudly enthusiastic, capturing the wonderfully chaotic energy of Bangers supporters.
