About the Artist
Grill Marks is a supporter-run fanzine made by and for Portland Bangers fans, capturing the DIY spirit, creativity, and community that define the club. That same energy carries into this collection, pulling from global terrace culture, sticker art, and zine graphics to create something raw, chaotic, and full of personality. With bold lettering, hand-drawn visuals, and punchy pink and green colorways, it’s a little scrappy, a little unhinged, and 100% Bangers.

poster
The poster embraces the chaotic mythology of football fandom. At the center of the design is a dragon-like creature, part mascot, part mythic destroyer, charging through the scene while breathing fire and clutching a flaming soccer ball. The character stands triumphantly with one foot planted on a skull while wielding a spear, embodying the over-the-top drama that supporters bring to the game.
The typography anchors the piece with the phrase “Every Day Is Saturday,” a nod to the feeling that football season turns every week into matchday anticipation.
Like a good fanzine page or stadium sticker, the poster mixes humor, aggression, and absurdity, celebrating the loud, weird, emotional energy of supporter culture.

scarf
The scarf design leans heavily into terrace culture and solidarity, two traditions deeply tied to supporter movements around the world.
One side of the scarf features the phrase “Forza Salsicce!” (“Go Sausages!”) framed by checkerboard patterns and classic typography. The playful phrase embraces the Bangers’ sausage-themed identity while echoing the chantable slogans often seen on European ultras scarves.
The reverse side carries a broader message: “Football For All.”
Framed by the call “Come On You Bangers!”, the design incorporates symbols of solidarity including a raised fist and the phrase “Refugees Welcome.” These elements reflect a belief that football culture should be inclusive and community-driven, values shared by supporters groups around the world.
